It’s fun to learn...

... when you’re among friends. When you’re proud of what you accomplish. When you know that your hard work has paid off.

And respect for your teacher comes naturally when you know that he or she has made it through all the trials and into the ranks of the professional dancer.

Academy photoOur best spokesmen are our students. One student wrote this about Artistic Director Norbe Risco and Academy Director Rafaela Cento-Muñoz: “Norbe and Rafaela are the perfect pictures of heritage excellence. Not only are they sharing their excellence with the Kentucky Arts Community, they are also helping me to become excellent, and not just in ballet. I am learning so much from them every day. I will remember the things Norbe and Rafaela have taught me for the rest of my life. Together they are making me a better person.”

Important note about The Nutcracker

Kentucky Ballet Theatre has adopted a new policy regarding participation in The Nutcracker. Student dancers who are not advanced students must be currently enrolled in KBT Academy for the entire academic year. If your child wishes to join our Nutcracker performance, be sure to enroll for the entire year rather than just the fall semester.
