You’ll jump for joy
Ah, yes, the wonderful Carlo Collodi story of the puppet who could walk.
It’s now the story of the puppet who could dance.
And the cat, and the fox, and the Blue Fairy, and the cricket, and the old puppetmaker himself, Gepeto.
But not so fast
This is more than simply the retelling of the Pinocchio story. It’ a re-rendering of the story into the marvelous language of dance.

A well-loved story + Kentucky Ballet Theatre = a perfect evening of entertainment.
We’ve said it before, and it bears repeating: you think you know a story until you experience it in another language. You’ll marvel at how elegantly plot and characters transform into a new medium. Sure, you could read the book or watch the movie again. Or you could see the ballet and rediscover the joy of watching Pinocchio for the first time.
Will the kids enjoy it?
Need we even ask? We’ll make a prediction here: you won’t have to wake them up when the whale comes onstage.
We’re looking for new audience members.
Never seen a ballet? Afraid you might not enjoy it or even understand it? Put your fears away. You’ll find no better introduction to the world of ballet than a Kentucky Ballet Theatre presentation.
Pinocchio. You’ll never forget the story. And you’ll never forget this ballet.
