Alisha Hill, Trainee

Alisha was born in Salt Lake City, Utah.  At a young age she relocated to St. Louis, Missouri, where she became the third generation of her family to fall in love with ballet.  Alisha spent fifteen years training at Patzius Performing Arts, a family-owned studio.  In her teen years, Alisha attended summer intensives at both Cincinnati Ballet and Milwaukee Ballet.
At age twelve Alisha became a member of Midwest Ballet Theatre, the pre-professional company affiliated with Patzius Performing Arts.  There she performed a variety of lead roles, in both classical and contemporary works, including The Nutcracker and Requiem.  She also performed a variety of solos, including Black Swan, Grand Pas Classique, and Bonjour Brel.  Alisha placed several times at Youth America Grand Prix.  She earned scholarship money at several art competitions, including the National Society of Arts and Letters classical ballet competition where she placed second with Grand Pas Classique.
This is Alisha's second season with Kentucky Ballet Theatre.  Since joining the company, she has performed the Fire Fairy in The Night Before Christmas and Glinda in The Wizard of Oz, as well as many corps de ballet roles in works such as Dracula, Harlequinade, and The Naiad & the Fisherman.  She has had the opportunity to work under Aurora Bosch, who is regarded as one of the "four jewels of Cuban ballet".  The past two summers, she has enjoyed performing in Ballet Under the Stars.
