Emma Zepper began training in ballet at the age of four in her home state of New Mexico. During her time as a student, Ms. Zepper studied multiple disciplines of dance, placed top 12 at Youth America Grand Prix, and appeared as a soloist with New Mexico Ballet Company. Her education continued at the collegiate level while she attended the Texas Christian University (TCU) School for Classical & Contemporary Dance. At TCU, Ms. Zepper performed as a soloist in classical and contemporary performances including restaged works of Giselle, Swan Lake, Les Sylphides, and Raymonda. She also participated in costume design, choreography, and production management responsibilities which generated professional opportunities and furthered her love towards all aspects of the performing arts. Under the direction of Roma Flowers, Ms. Zepper discovered an aptitude for lighting design and received recognition for her designs at TCU and around the DFW arts community. After graduating Magna Cum Laude in 2018 with a BFA in Ballet and a BA in Mathematics, Ms. Zepper was honored to join Kentucky Ballet Theatre and perform in various works including, Dracula, Esmeralda Pas de Six, and The Wizard of Oz. She also enjoyed the opportunity to train under Aurora Bosch, one of the “four jewels of Cuban ballet” during this time. Ms. Zepper is grateful to KBT for the opportunity to come out of retirement and perform with the company for the 2023-2024 Season.
