Rebekah Marcotte, Trainee

Rebekah Marcotte was born in Saint Louis, Missouri. Rebekah began her training at the age of three at Alexandra School of Ballet and trained there for thirteen years. She then trained with Patzius Performing Arts for an additional two years. In her teens, she attended several summer intensives at Alexandra Ballet, Saint Louis Ballet, and Kansas City Ballet. At age 10, Rebekah became a member of her studio’s affiliated pre-professional company, Alexandra Ballet Company. She rose through the ranks and progressed to become an advanced company member, where she performed a variety of leading roles in the Nutcracker such as Clara as well as other variation leads. She also performed as lead in other company original choreographies, contemporary works, and ballet excerpts from Coppelia, Les Sylphides, Paquita, and Swan Lake. At Patzius Performing Arts, she auditioned for the pre-professional company, Midwest Ballet Theater. There she became a company principal dancer performing several lead roles in the Nutcracker such as Snow Queen and Arabian Solo and performed as lead in many original company productions as well. Rebekah’s repertoire including several classical and contemporary works such as Gamzatti, Queen of the Dryads, and Don Q Dulcinea. Rebekah will be joining Kentucky Ballet Theater as a trainee for the 2022-2023 season and is excited to continue her career participating in company performances.
