Emma Zepper, Trainee
Originating from Albuquerque, New Mexico, Emma Zepper began training in classical ballet at Fishback Studio of the Dance. While dancing in New Mexico, Emma appeared as a soloist with Ballet Repertory Theater and New Mexico Ballet Company in a number of full-length ballets.
While studying ballet at Texas Christian University (TCU), Emma performed in numerous concerts, including restaged works of Giselle’s Act II, Giselle’s “Peasant Pas de Deux,” Les Sylphides, and Raymonda. Ms. Zepper was a featured dancer in each performance. She has also performed in original works by Li-Chou Cheng, General McAuthur Hambrick, and Rubén Gerding. While studying at TCU, Emma was awarded the Faculty Scholarship, the Dance Scholarship, and the TCU Fine Arts Guild Scholarship. Through her experiences at TCU, Ms. Zepper found a passion for lighting design under the direction of Roma Flowers and costume design under the direction of Susan Austin. She has created a plethora of lighting designs and costuming constructions for dance works in the TCU community and the surrounding Fort Worth Area. Emma graduated from TCU in 2018 with her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Ballet and Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics. This is Ms. Zepper first season with Kentucky Ballet Theatre.
