Gift Sapianchai, Trainee

Ms. Sapianchai was born and raised in Bangkok, Thailand and began her dance education with Karntima Sirivicha and Long Zhao. She was invited to attend the Kirov Academy of Ballet in Washington, D.C, where she continued her training under Mme. Marianna Lobanova and Mme. Elena Tenchikova. Alongside her training, Ms. Sapianchai also performed in multiple of the school’s production, including The Nutcracker, La Sylphide, Don Quixote and The Sleeping Beauty.

Ms. Sapianchai spent her summers developing her art around the world, including the Bolshoi Ballet School intensive in New York and the Jean M. Wong school in Hong Kong. She also received the opportunity to tour Poland and its neighboring countries where she performed original works as part of a dance seminar with Butler University.

Ms. Sapianchai recently graduated with a BFA in Dance Performance and a minor in Business from Butler University. With Butler Ballet, she performed corps and soloist roles in numerous full-length classical ballet as well as contemporary works, including Balachine’s The Four Temperaments.

Gift Sapianchai is excited to be part of the 2018-2019 season with Kentucky Ballet Theatre and is looking forward to begin her professional career with the company.
