Biography


Holly Marcin, originally from Woodridge, IL, began her pre-professional training at The Hinsdale Dance Academy under Jennifer Grapes (Principal, Milwaukee Ballet), and danced as a guest artist in Montgomery Ballet’s production of Don Quixote. Following high school, Ms. Marcin attended the University of Missouri-Kansas City (UMKC) on scholarship where she studied extensively under Paula Weber (Principal, Milwaukee Ballet). While at UMKC, she performed in Carmina Burana as a Soloist as well as Principal roles such as Odette in the Act II pas de deux from Swan Lake and Kitri in the Don Quixote Act III Pas de Deux. She was also selected to perform in the corps de ballet with The Kansas City Ballet in their productions of both Todd Bolender’s and Devon Carney’s Nutcracker. After graduating with a Bachelor’s of Fine Arts with an emphasis in Ballet Performance, Ms. Marcin joined Columbia Classical Ballet for their 2017-18 season and danced in their productions of La Bayadere, Cinderella, and The Nutcracker. Most recently, Ms. Marcin danced with Lexington Ballet for three seasons performing in a variety of classical and contemporary works within the corps de ballet as well as Soloist and Principal roles such as Marie in the Nutcracker. She has also been featured in Pointe magazine. Holly is excited to join Kentucky Ballet Theatre for the 2021-2022 season.
