Jenna Baubkus, Company
Ms. Baubkus was born in Elk Grove Village, Illinois. She received her training from Faubourg School of Ballet under the direction of Watmora Casey. Ms. Baubkus continued her studies at Butler University, where she was awarded an academic scholarship and the Eileen Poston Dance Scholarship. With Butler Ballet, she performed various classical full-length ballets and contemporary works, including the world premiere of En Camino, a piece by internationally renowned choreographer, Gustavo Ramirez Sansano. Ms. Baubkus received her Bachelor of Science from Butler University in 2014. Upon graduation, she joined the Kentucky Ballet Theatre.
Since joining KBT in 2014, she has performed numerous soloist and demi-soloist roles including, Cinderella, The Nutcracker, La Vivandiere, Nisi Dominus, The Night Before Christmas, Animated Frescoes, La Sylphide, Peter Pan, Raymonda, Calles de Tango, Beauty & the Beast, The Little Mermaid, Classics and Cuba, and Degas. She has also performed many Pas de Deux and Pas de Trois including, Spring Waters, Harlequinade Suite, Beethoven, The Ocean & Pearls, Paquita, and Swan Lake. At the end of the 2016-2017 season with KBT, Ms. Baubkus was promoted to a Company Dancer.
This will be Ms.Baubkus’ sixth season with the Kentucky Ballet Theatre and sixth year performing at “Ballet Under the Stars.” She is also a lead teacher for the KBT academy.
