Keturah Cook, Apprentice
Keturah Cook began her early ballet training at the Evergreen City Ballet in Seattle, Washington under the artistic direction of Wade Walthall.
She completed her last eight years of training at the Kentucky Ballet Theatre Academy under the direction of Rafaela Risco. Ms. Cook has had the privilege of working under world renowned “Cuban Jewel” Aurora Bosch. She attended summer programs at Pacific Northwest Ballet, Evergreen City Ballet, Kentucky Ballet Theatre, and on scholarship at Next Generation Ballet at Patel Conservatory. Ms. Cook is a graduate of the Kentucky Governor’s School of the Arts.
Ms. Cook is in her fifth season at KBT and has performed in Ballet Under the Stars for the past six years. She has enjoyed dancing corps de ballet, demi-soloist and soloist roles in The Nutcracker, La Esmeralda, La Bayadere, Peter Pan, The Night Before Christmas, Little Mermaid, The Wizard of Oz, Le Corsaire, Giselle and Dracula, along with several neoclassical works.
Ms. Cook is a lead teacher for the KBT Academy, the KBT summer intensive resident director and co-teaches after-school Creative Movement classes at The Lexington School.
