KBT’s outreach programming delivers well-rounded exposure to the art of ballet in a theatrical performance setting. Lecture demonstrations and in-school performances are structured to promote the exploration of creativity, artistry and educational interaction.
Our commitment to Outreach has become increasingly important due to the significant cuts in Kentucky’s arts in education budget.
As a Lucille Little Foundation receipient from 2012-2014, KBT earned sincere acclaim for their programming. Once the grant expired, KBT took it upon themselves to still visit the Eastern Kentucky counties where they had worked with the students, demonstrating their sincere commitment to valuing arts-in-education.
The KBT Board of Directors has also begun writing educational modules to be integrated in the classroom after the performance program takes place.
