Rose Bolar, Trainee II
Rose Bolar, a Kentucky native. Rose began her training at Ballet Winchester. She later trained with Wilmore Christian Ballet before training with Kentucky Ballet Theatre. Rose has attended summer intensives at Next Generation Ballet and Cincinnati Ballet on scholarship and was invited to join the trainee program at both schools. Her junior year of high school, she was one of the 24 students accepted into the Kentucky Governor’s School for the Arts for dance. She has trained under many esteemed dancers such as Philip Neal from New York City Ballet, Peter Stark the Associate Director of Boston Ballet II, Aurora Bosch one of the four “Cuban Jewels”, and Balanchine’s muse Edward Villella. She competed in Youth American Grand Prix from 2014-2018. She has performed variations from Paquita, Pharaoh’s Daughter, Le Corsaire, Raymonda, The Nutcracker, Coppelia, and Sleeping Beauty. This will be her second season with Kentucky Ballet Theatre and she is excited to continue her journey here in the Bluegrass.
