About the Ballet
Ballet Spectrum II is a dynamic and diverse ballet performance that blends classical tradition with contemporary storytelling in an intimate black box theater setting. Featuring five distinct works, the production explores themes of romance, imagination, transformation, and self-discovery through a variety of choreographic styles and emotional journeys.
The program includes Les Millions D'Arlequin, a whimsical tale of young love overcoming obstacles with the help of magic; La Péri, which follows a man’s search for immortality through an encounter with a mystical spirit; and Mi Búsqueda, a reflection on humanity’s search for purpose and meaning. Also featured are Imaginaria, an abstract exploration of creativity and divine inspiration, and Terra Dea, a powerful meditation on nature, renewal, and the enduring spirit of the Earth.
History of Ballet Spectrum II
Ballet Spectrum II is an original production created exclusively for Kentucky Ballet Theatre as part of the company’s effort to expand into more contemporary and innovative works that appeal to a broader audience. Following the success of the inaugural Ballet Spectrum in 2025, the company continued the concept with Ballet Spectrum II in 2026, featuring several original pieces choreographed by dancers from the Professional Company and showcasing the creativity and artistic versatility within the organization.
