Monica Viqueira Camacho was born in Havana, Cuba, and began her ballet training at the Alejo Carpentier Provincial School of Ballet and Dance. She continued her studies at the Cuban National School of Ballet, where she earned her diploma in Ballet Performance and Teaching. She went on to obtain a Bachelor's Degree in Dance from the University of the Arts of Cuba (ISA), graduating with Academic Excellence. In 2014, she joined the Cuban National Ballet as a member of the corps de ballet, performing numerous roles in the classical repertoire, including Alicia Alonso’s Giselle, Swan Lake, The Nutcracker, Sleeping Beauty, Coppelia, Don Quixote, Les Sylphides, La Fille Mal Gardee, Paquita Grand Pas, Cinderella, The Magic Flute, and Flower Festival in Genzano, as well as George Balanchine’s Theme and Variations. She also toured internationally with the Cuban National Ballet. In 2022, she joined the Sibiu Ballet Theatre in Romania as a company dancer, performing in productions such as La Bayadere, The Nutcracker, Swan Lake, Snow White, Cinderella, and the neoclassical piece Bolero. She toured extensively with the company both nationally across Romania and internationally throughout Europe. In 2025, she joined Kentucky Ballet Theatre in the United States as a company dancer.
