Raiga Yamazaki

Raiga Yamazaki is a Japanese ballet dancer dedicated to pursuing a professional career in classical and contemporary ballet.
He began his ballet training in Japan at a young age, where he built a strong classical foundation and received recognition through national ballet competitions. His commitment to technical excellence and artistic growth led him to continue his training in the United States.
Raiga was accepted into Houston Ballet Academy, where he completed the Academy’s professional training program. During his time there, he performed in numerous productions presented in collaboration with Houston Ballet. He appeared in The Nutcracker for three consecutive seasons, performing the roles of Ninja Rat, Candy Court, and Sailor.
In addition to ensemble performances, Raiga was selected for featured roles, including a featured soloist role in Men on the Moon and a featured role in Baby Driver. These opportunities reflected the confidence of the artistic staff in his technique, musicality, professionalism, and stage presence.
Throughout his training, Raiga has demonstrated discipline, consistency, and a strong work ethic. He is committed to continuous artistic growth and to contributing positively to every company in which he performs.
Raiga is now beginning the next stage of his professional career with Kentucky Ballet Theatre, where he looks forward to further developing as a professional dancer and performing a diverse repertoire.
