Mónica Viqueira Camacho born in Havana, Cuba. Began her ballet training at ‘Alejo Carpentier’ Provincial School of Ballet and Dance at Havana, Cuba. Later on she continued her studies at Cuban National School of Ballet where she obtained her diploma as ‘Ballet Dancer-Teacher’. She got a ‘Dance Degree’ at Art University of Cuba (ISA) with Academic Excellence. On 2014, she joined as a corps de ballet at The Cuban National Ballet where has performed multiple roles of the classical repertoire such as Alicia Alonso’s ‘Giselle’, ‘Swan Lake’, ‘The Nutcracker’, ‘Sleeping Beauty’, ‘Coppelia’, ‘Don Quixote’, ‘The Sylphides’, ‘La Fille Mal Gardee’, ‘Paquita Grand Pas’, ‘Cinderella’, ‘Magic Flute’ and ‘Flower Festival Grand Pas’; and George Balanchine’s ‘Theme and Variations’. Through out her 8 years with The Cuban National Ballet, she participated in multiple galas and festivals such as ‘24th, 25th and 26th International Ballet Festival of Havana’ and ‘XXVII La Huella Festival de España’. She has also participated in international tours with The Cuban National Ballet in multiple countries such as Canada, Mexico, Costa Rica, El Salvador, United States and China. On 2022, she joined Sibiu Ballet Theatre in Romania as a company member. In her time there she has performed in productions such as ‘La Bayadere’, ‘The Nutcracker’, ‘Swan Lake’, ‘Snow White’, ‘Cinderella’ and ‘Bolero’ a neoclassical piece. She had tour with the company all around Romania and international tours around Europe: The Netherland, Belgium, Poland, Germany, Austria, Lithuania y Latvia. On 2025, she joined Kentucky Ballet Theatre as a company member in United States.
