Children's Beginning Division
Children's Division
The Children’s Division at Kentucky Ballet Theatre Academy is designed for young dancers ages 2–7 and provides a positive, engaging introduction to the world of dance.
Our age-appropriate curriculum encourages children to explore movement while developing coordination, musicality, creativity, balance, and confidence in a nurturing and supportive environment. Through imaginative activities and structured instruction, students learn foundational dance skills while fostering a love for the arts.
Classes are designed to make learning fun while helping young dancers build listening skills, classroom etiquette, self-expression, and a strong foundation for future dance training.
Beginning Division Levels
Beginning Division
The Beginning Division is designed for students who wish to pursue formal training in Classical Ballet. Through a structured curriculum and the guidance of our experienced and supportive faculty, students develop confidence, discipline, and a love for the art of dance.
Classes focus on building a strong technical foundation through the development of strength, balance, coordination, flexibility, and musicality, while introducing the fundamental principles of Classical Ballet. Students also cultivate important life skills such as focus, perseverance, respect, and teamwork.
This training provides the physical and artistic foundation necessary for continued advancement in ballet and other dance forms. Students in the Beginning Division also have access to a variety of performance opportunities throughout the season, allowing them to apply their training on stage and gain valuable performance experience.
