Ashley Reed

Ashley Reed began dancing at the age 6 at Opus II Dance Studio in Ohio under the Tutelage of Hellie Schussler Founder/Executive Director (Former dancer of Dance Kaleidoscope) and Sarah Cyders Artistic Director (former dancer of Neos Dance Theater). Ashley later completed her training at Ohio Conservatory of Ballet under Inna Strabrova (former graduate from the Vaganova Academy and Principal ballerina with Eifman Ballet) as well as Dmitriy Tuboltsev (Principal at the Bolshoi Ballet). In 2022-23 season Ashley danced and taught at Ballet 5:8 in Illinois. The following season, Ashley signed a company contract with the Lexington Ballet Company and danced two seasons with them under the directorship of Ayako Habese Lloyd and Eric Trope. Some of her favorite roles At LBC include: Carie Bell from Lexington Ballet’s 50th anniversary- choreographed by Eric Trope (Some Place, Some Where, Some Time), Snow queen (The Nutcracker), Coffee (The Nutcracker), Kitri (Don Quixote), Mother Ginger (The Nutcracker), Evil Step Sister (Cinderella), Rate Queen (The Nutcracker) Aurora (Sleeping Beauty), Spanish (The Nutcracker).

Ashley has studied and taught the Vaganova method for eight years in classroom settings, private lessons for YAGP, and group rehearsals. She has guest taught at many different schools and states across the US and is very passionate and energetic person.

For the 2025/2026 season, Ashley has signed a contract with Dancer's Pointe as the Student Company Assistant Director and is excited to fill that role of teaching and leadership.

Ashley is so thrilled to be dancing with Kentucky Ballet Theater this season and can't wait for the chance to share the stage with all the amazing dancers at Kentucky Ballet Theater.
