
Weather and Class Update
Class Cancellation Notice – Monday and Tuesday, January 26 & 27
All classes at Kentucky Ballet Theatre are cancelled today and Tuesday, January 26 and 27 due to hazardous road conditions and icy conditions in our parking lot.
We will continue to monitor the situation and will keep families informed regarding future class days. Thank you for your understanding, and please stay safe.

Before beginning his studies at the Higher School of Music and Dance of Monterrey, Mexico, in 2020, he received scholarships from several institutions in the country, including the National School of Dance Nellie and Gloria Campobello in Mexico City (2017) and The Arts Academy in Obregón, Sonora. In 2018, he was awarded the bronze medal at the Prix Luisa Díaz in Guadalajara. In 2019, he was invited to perform at the International Ballet Gala in Bari, Italy, and also attended the ballet seminar held during the same event.
During his time in Monterrey, he performed in the 45th anniversary gala at the Palace of Fine Arts in Mexico City (2022) and was a semi-finalist at Youth Grand Prix México in 2023. He was selected for academic exchanges with Quenedit Ballet School in Texas, the State Dance School of Tabasco in Mexico, and The Sarasota Cuban Ballet School in Florida.
He was also chosen to perform with Ballet de Monterrey in their 2022 production of Swan Lake by Thiago Soares and in the 2024 production of Romeo and Juliet by Marcelo Gomes, under the direction of Yosvani Ramos.
Yan is excited to join Kentucky Ballet Theatre for their spring season!
